There are many superb pubs, cafes and restaurants in Dulverton and Exmoor National Park.  We have listed here some of the closest, plus a couple of very special restaurants which are slightly further afield, but well worth a visit.

The George Inn Our local pub, just up the lane in Brompton Regis, has excellent real ales, traditional pub food, stunning views of Exmoor and warm and friendly hosts.

Woods Bar and Restaurant  Very cosy and friendly pub and restaurant, serving dishes such as confit duck leg or pan fried fillet of seabass at dinnertime.  Lunchtime is more relaxed with a range of ciabatta rolls, ploughman’s lunches and other light bites.

Tongdam Thai Restaurant  Serving traditional Thai dishes such as duck red curry etc.  Tongdam has a beautiful vine covered decking area which is perfect for al fresco dining in the summer months.

The Bridge Inn  Classic British pub food, such as ham, egg and chips, pie and mash and homemade burgers.  Baguettes are available at lunchtime and children are welcome.

The Royal Oak  Traditional pub food, with seasonally changing menus.  Food is locally sourced and all home cooked on the premises.  Children catered for.

Tarr Farm Inn  Upmarket pub food during the day, also notable for excellent Somerset cream teas.  Slightly more formal in the evenings with a menu of ‘classic dishes with a contemporary twist’.

The Luttrell Arms Hotel  This 14th century Inn offers a choice of formal restaurant dining or the more relaxed bar.   The garden affords stunning views and alfresco dining during the summer months.

Something special a little further away…

The Masons Arms (14 miles from Stag’s Head Farm)  Definitely worth the journey for foodies as this small family run Inn has one Michelin star awarded for its cooking.  Still very much the local village pub, attracting local drinkers and their dogs, the Mason’s Arms manages to balance a friendly, low key atmosphere with innovative, high-brow cooking.
